Insidious: Chapter 2 This impressive sequel directed by James Wan, and starring Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne is a must-see thriller for 2013. This movie offers more explanation on the original plot synopsis and provides deeper background to the paranormal experiences the Lambert family encountered. As the previous movie concluded with their son Dalton—played by Ty Simpkins—being rescued from the spirit world, the family is not completely free from the dark presence that haunted them. Josh Lambert—played by Patrick Wilson—has been possessed by an evil phantom that had been haunting his dreams in his childhood. At the end of the first chapter, it was revealed that when Josh made his journey to the spirit world to save his son, Josh Lambert didn’t make it back to his own spirit body. The phantom that haunted him in his childhood possessed his body. This plot revolves around the Lambert Family trying to gain independence from this dark spirit, while also trying to return Josh’s spirit back to his body—similar to the first chapters plot. We guarantee the viewer won’t walk away disappointed from this movie. The writing, acting, and cinematic effect are improved significantly compared to the first movie. Although, we recommend that one should see the first movie before seeing Insidious: Chapter 2.
